Cassandra Mannes is originally from Raleigh, where she received her BA in English-Creative Writing from North Carolina State. Her fiction was awarded the undergraduate place in North Carolina State's Fiction Contest. She is a founding staff member of Raleigh Review Bookshop Loft and she manages Raleigh Review's NC Poetry On The Bus campaign.
